The McCrone Asbestos-Containing Material (ACM) Reference Set has been developed as an aid in characterizing fibers, binders, and fillers commonly found in insulation materials. The insulation samples that are included represent all major applications of acoustical, fireproofing, thermal systems, ceiling and floor tiles. Each slide comes with complete descriptions of the building material, its application, components and volume percentages, bulk morphology, distinguishing characteristics and, where applicable, other PLM characteristics.
