Specific SPE sorbent optimized for extraction of clenbuterol from biological samples

Clenbuterol is extracted with a high recovery and the selectivity of the extraction method enables determination a limit of quantification of 0.5 ng/ml using HPLC-UV.

The chromatograms show the extraction clean-up of a typical analyte from a 5 ml urine sample. Superior clean-up with the MIP sorbent is shown in red. Note the sharp peaks and the absence of noise using the MIP column compared with the much higher level of noise using traditional mixed-phase SPE sorbents.
